The 4th annual Give a Dog a Job 5k fundraising event will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Main Line Brewery in Richmond VA. We are excited to be back at Main Line for a second year!
When you register for our 5K run/walk race, you’re signing up for much more than just a spirited event. You will be running and walking with your furry friends to support a great cause. You’ll be joining the Old Dominion Volunteer Chapter puppy raisers and service dog teams to put more highly trained service dogs into the hands of adults, children, and veterans who need them!
100% of race proceeds go directly to Canine Companions.
Canine Companions provides service dogs at no charge to those living with disabilities! Come on out and help us GIVE A DOG A JOB!
This is a family and pet-friendly event and we encourage human and pet costumes to make the morning fun! Prizes will be awarded for best-dressed human/dog.
New in 2022, High School Challenge! Prizes and more! Students ages 13-18 can create a team of 10 or more students for a flat price of $50. High school teams are eligible to win air pods and gift cards!
New in 2022, two awesome virtual challenges! September is National Service Dog Month and there is no better way to celebrate than with a virtual challenge. Two options will be available and you can easily upload your results to keep track of your progress!
New in 2022, The Doggie Dash is for our smaller participants. Children 4-8 years of age will have the opportunity to participate in an event just for them! The Doggie Dash is a 40-yard dash and participation is free for this event, each child will receive a prize when they cross the finish line. One parent is permitted to run/walk with a child.
At the in-person event on October 1st, all the 5K participants at Main Line Brewery will go off at 9:00 am and chip timing will be offered.
Awards will be given to the overall fastest man and woman along with the top age group males and females. Team Awards are offered for Best Team Costume and the Team which highlights tremendous team passion along the course. We are rewarding participants who share their special URL code and bring 10 additional participants to the event with a $10 refund. We appreciate the referrals which know change the life of someone living with a disability!

8am-8:30 Walk-up Registration - Our preferred method of race day registration will be for you to scan our QR code with your phone and register online. We will accept paper registrations if necessary.
